Blessing of the Backpacks will look a little different this year. If we are able to gather in-person for worship at some point before school starts, we can do this tradition as a group as we have in the past. But in the meantime (& in addition to any possible group gathering), we will be offering individual & personal blessings.
On Sunday, August 16, from 5:00 – 7:00pm, Pastor Chad will be at the Outdoor Sanctuary at church for the Blessing of Your Backpack. You can just come up to church any time during that window and have your back- pack personally blessed at the Outdoor Sanctuary behind the building. It will involve a very short time of conversation & prayer, and you’ll get a couple goodies that will help you through the school year as well. (If the weather if bad, we’ll just do the Blessing under the awning near the front door.)
