We will be traveling and doing mission through a group called Manna Worldwide, and we are not quite sure what God has in store for us when we get down there. We would like to say a special thank you to our congregation for the generous support of our Soup Fundraiser (over $500) and for donating the Advent offerings to our trip. This money will not be used to fund our travel expenses, but rather, it will be used to help meet whatever mission needs we may encounter while we are down there. For example, previous groups have purchased wood for a new home for a wife who was being abused, or purchased groceries for families they have met in Guatemala, or offered financial help to some of the guides along the way. We are excited and thankful for the opportunities for mission that this extra money provides. We have no doubt God will be able to use your generosity to make a difference in Guatemala.
Our Guatemala mission team recently learned that the medical clinic we visit in Guatemala is in desperate need of prenatal vitamins. If you are interested in donating one or more of any brand of prenatal vitamins with iron and folic acid, we will take them with us. A collection box will be made available on Sunday the 5th and 12th.
We have several frozen containers of lentil soup for sale from the soup sales for the mission trip. Contact Elaine Miller if interested.
