To help guide us through this pandemic, our Church Council has created a COVID-19 Task Force. This small group will meet regularly to review current health department mandates & regulations, make recommendations on our policies & practices, and help guide the Council with some of their expertise. This COVID-19 Task Force is:
- Mary Garrelts, Christ Lutheran’s Parish Nurse
- John Muther, Revenue Utilization Nurse for the VA Central Plains
- Shawn Meier, Director of Food & Beverage for the Campus at Catholic Care Center
- Dr. Kari Clouse, an outpatient family physician in Andover
- Pastor Chad
In addition, the ELCA has recently worked with the United Methodists to create a document called, “Resuming Care-Filled Worship and Sacramental Life During a Pandemic.” Both the Council and the COVID-19 Task Force will be using this document as a guide in their decision-making for the future.
